Free business listing sites in the United States
42 sites worth listing an American business on, 30 of them free. The 7 American directories for any business come first, then the ones that matter in every country, then 17 for particular trades. Each one says what it is for, so you can skip the ones that do not fit your business.
One rule for every listing: enter your business name, address and phone number exactly as they appear on your Google Business Profile, character for character. The same business written two ways looks like two businesses.
