This Privacy Policy explains how RankLocal (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services at getranklocal.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Business information — details about your business you enter or that we read from your connected Google Business Profile (name, address, categories, hours, reviews, posts, photos, and performance metrics).
• Usage data — how you interact with the Service, for security and product improvement.
• Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details.

Google user data

When you connect your Google Business Profile, you grant us access to manage it on your behalf. We use this access only to provide the Service's features — reading and replying to reviews, publishing posts and photos, reading performance data, and optimizing your profile. RankLocal's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your Google data or use it for advertising.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To generate AI content (review replies, posts, SEO suggestions) on your behalf.
• To send you service-related emails (review alerts, reminders, digests) — which you can turn off in Settings.
• To provide customer support.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under confidentiality obligations:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Vercel — hosting.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI generation. Content sent for generation is not used to train their models.
• Google — to manage your Business Profile.
• Resend — sending emails.
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and billing (merchant of record).

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your business data, reviews, photos, and posts from our systems.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. To disconnect Google, revoke access in your Google Account permissions or delete your RankLocal account.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security) to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated date.
